Opponents: Kenwood Academy Preview

Wichita, KS. - No. 4 Sunrise Christian Academy will head to Sioux Falls, SD for Hoophall Central. They will take on Kenwood Academy on Friday, December 17th at 9 p.m.
This will be the first ever meeting between these two teams. Both teams have one loss on the season; Sunrise is looking to move to 9-1 on the season, while Kenwood is looking to move to 7-1. Kenwood has won by 31+ points in each of their six wins this season.
Kenwood is led by head coach Mike Irvin in his second season with the team. Irvin led the team to a 10-2 record in a shortened season due to Covid-19 and is looking for another big season.
Kenwood has young talent all over their roster and are led by Darrin Ames (#55 ranked) on ESPN’s Top 60 players for the class of 2023. He is an electrifying scorer and is averaging almost 27 points per game on the season.
Their other top players are Trey Pettigrew, Darius Robinson who leads the teams with 8 assists per game, Davius Loury their leading rebounder with 8 rebounds per game, and one of the top freshmen in the country Bryce Heard. The rest of the roster includes; Rashad Anderson, B.J Dulling, Robert Walls, Niel Davis, Malun Grayer, Calvin Robins, and Jaden Smith.
