Opponents: Dr. Pepper Classic Preview

Wichita, KS. - No. 1 Sunrise Christian Academy will go on the road one last time in the regular season. Sunrise travels to Tennessee for the Dr. Pepper Classic this Friday and Saturday.

Game #1

Sunrise will face off against Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (TN) on day one of the Dr. Pepper Classic. They play on Friday, February 18th at 6 p.m. EST. These two teams met last year on January 8th in Tennessee as well and Sunrise won 94-42.

Hamilton Heights is 11-10 on the season and won 6 of their last 7 games. The team started below .500 but have fought their way back above .500. They are led by head coach Stephen Cook Jr. in his second season with the team.

The roster includes; Camden Andrews, Champ Patterson, Somtochukwu Cyril, Jordann Dumont, Max Slavik, Aries Hull, Bryson Andrews, Felipe De Freitas, Joshua Jitoboh, Kaiky Laurindo, and Framuel Diaz.

Game #2

Sunrise will finish off the Dr. Pepper Classic against McCallie High School (TN). The game is on Saturday, February 19th at 8 p.m. EST. They met last year on January 31st in Tennessee as well and Sunrise won 62-56.

McCallie is 20-5 on the season and is 2-4 in their last 6 games. The team started with only one loss early in the season and has dropped 4 games recently. They have been led by head coach David Conrady since 2018.

The roster is led by 7’1” David Craig who is a dominant force inside. The rest of the roster includes; Dylan Capazario, Guillaume Bogaert, Will Kwasigroch, Wilson Rankin, Kollin Claridy, Milos Stijepovic, Parker Robison, Manny Poulos, Bryce Kennebrew, Wallace Grissett, Jacob Sharplin, Boon Eliott, Drew Hamilton, and Jeb Salter.
