SOCIAL MARKETING

Start Date: September 1st, 2022

Position Summary

The Social Marketing Intern will support the creative team executing the Sunrise Christian Hoops social content calendars, posting to all social media accounts, social data tracking/reporting, and ideating with the creative team on new content ideas. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge in social marketing as well as be enthusiastic, creative and possess strong attention to detail. This role requires project coordination, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. This position reports to the Director of Basketball Operations.

Position Responsibilities
Content Management and Execution

  • Maintain and execute the social content calendar for the Hoops’ Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube channel

  • Ideate and publish content on the Hoops’ social media channels

  • Share weekly content plans/goals with creative team (Developing a weekly talk show with Coach)

  • Lead social coverage of Hoops community events and content capture at practices, gamedays and

    other live events

  • Request graphics for social media, website and e-mail from graphic design intern

  • Serve as liaison with local media outlets (television) regarding special events and recognitions

  • Brainstorm for campaigns and posts on platforms with a focus on social monetization

  • Oversee Interns (Photography/Videography/Copywriter/Storytelling/Creative/Post Grad)

    Analytics Reporting and Tracking

  • Track fan/follower engagement across the platforms and complete monthly social media reports

  • Identify new content ideas and reply to comments on socials (remove spam/inappropriate replys) Paid Social Campaigns and Promotions

  • Monitor and optimize all paid social media campaigns

  • Determine promotions for home games

  • Develop email campaigns to subscribers and donors/sponsors​

  • Collaborate with creative team and the Academy marketing team about events and projects

  • Coordinate weekly creative team meetings (Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.)

  • Keep social media accounts up to date. Strive to increase account followings

  • Required 35 – 40 hours a week. Must be available during games, days, nights, weekends, and

    holidays. Constant communication with Director of Basketball Operations

  • Constantly communicate with the Sunrise Christian Academy marketing team and understand the

    marketing rules of the Academy.

 

Requirements

  • • Must be a current student working towards a bachelors or graduate degree
    • Must be able to receive academic credit and provide paperwork
    • Must pass a background check and agree to the values and appearance code of Sunrise Christian Academy • Experience with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube
    • Demonstrate strong organization and communication skills
    • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to post on time
    • Marketing or Sport Management major preferred
    • Graphic design experience a plus (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator)
    • NOTE: Access to players and staff will vary upon needs of completion of assigned tasks

The candidate is expected to work through the entirety of the internship including; normal hours, nights, weekends, holidays. This is an unpaid internship that can qualify for volunteer hours and/or resume references.

VIDEOGRAPHER

Start Date: September 1st, 2022

Position Summary

Candidate will capture dynamic, high-quality video for recruiting, marketing, and branding. Candidate will also be responsible for producing content for social media platforms. Candidate will support the creative team to ensure quality, consistency, and creative flow of the Hoops program’s overall goals. This position will report to the Social Marketing Intern and constantly be in communication with the Photography Intern.

Position Responsibilities

  • Capture and produce in-game and pre/postgame motion and still imagery, as well as practices, facilities, and special events/recognitions

  • Complete tasks assigned by Social Marketing Intern for social media accounts

  • Assist with ideas and filming of material for TikToks

  • Capture and produce short-form videos for recognitions, special occasions, sponsorship shoutouts, and

    senior video

  • Produce season-long documentary of the players and staff

  • Assists Social Marketing Intern with capturing and producing a Coach Talk Show

  • Capture and edit player interviews, highlight reels, and events

  • Contribute to the proper management of filing, archiving, storing, and indexing of footage

  • Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions for new concepts

  • Work closely with the Photography Intern and Copywriter Intern to conceptualize and ideate new

    innovative storytelling tactics

  • Required 20 – 30 hours a week. Must be available during games, days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Constant communication with Photography Intern, Copywriter Intern, and Social Marketing Intern

  • Constantly communicate with the Sunrise Christian Academy marketing team and understand the marketing rules of the Academy.

Requirements

  • Must have experience with video producing and editing or be a current student working towards an associate, bachelors, or graduate degree

  • Must be able to receive academic credit and provide paperwork

  • Must pass a background check and agree to the values and appearance code of Sunrise Christian Academy

  • Proficiency in use of Adobe Creative Cloud software (Mac Preferred)

  • Demonstrate strong organization and time management skills

  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications

  • Ability to maintain attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure and within deadlines

  • Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a positive, winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the

    performance of all job responsibilities

  • Videography or Sport Management major preferred

  • NOTE: Access to players and staff will vary upon needs of completion of assigned tasks

POST GRad office assistant

Start Date: August 17th, 2022

​

Position Summary

Sunrise Christian Academy Post Grad basketball program is seeking an aspiring individual who is willing to grow and contribute to the daily operations of the program. This is an entry level position. The program will demand the individual be motivated and eager to work with high school aged players seeking Division 1 scholarships. Individual will report to and work beside the Post Grad Assistant Coach and Head Coach. Individual will also collaborate with Elite Graphic Design Intern and Social Marketing Intern.

 

Position Requirements

  • Responsible for creating graphics for the Post Grad team (collaborate with Elite Graphic Design Intern)

  • Assist coaching staff with scouting players and scouting reports

  • Assist coaching staff with recruiting (schedule, flights, hotels)

  • Assist coaching staff with film breakdown and film coding

  • Assist with team travel arrangements (hotel, flights, food, reimbursements)

  • Monitor and record team season and individual statistics

  • Daily transportation needs as requested by basketball programs or the Academy

  • Monitor player grades and class schedules; assist with tutoring 

  • Constant communication with Post Grad coaching staff and Elite interns 

  • Must be available during games, days, nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Position IS NOT PAID. Housing and Meals will be provided on a 10-month contract (August – March)

Requirements

·   Must be an aspiring collegiate basketball coach or current student majoring in Sport Management 

·   Must be able to receive academic credit and provide paperwork (if current student)

·   Must pass a background check and agree to the values and appearance code of Sunrise Christian Academy

·   Must have a valid driver’s license

·   Proficiency in use of Adobe Software, Microsoft Office software, and Google Suites.

·   Experience with the adobe creative suite; InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator (Mac proficiency preferred)

·   Strong creative and analytical skill

·   Strong portfolio and basic knowledge of layouts, typography, and design fundamentals

·   Demonstrate strong organization and time management skills

·   Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications

·   Ability to maintain attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure and within deadlines​

POST GRAD Assistant coach

Start Date: August 17th, 2022

Position Summary

Sunrise Christian Academy Post Grad is seeking an aspiring collegiate basketball coach for an entry level coaching position with the basketball program. The program will demand the individual be motivated and eager to work with high school aged players seeking NCAA D1 scholarships. Individual will report to the Post Grad Head Coach. 

 

Position Responsibilities 

  • Assist coaching staff with scouting players and scouting reports

  • Assist with player development (on-court)

  • Assist Head Coach with practice planning and participation

  • Assist coaching staff with recruiting 

  • Assist coaching staff with film breakdown and film coding

  • ​Daily transportation needs as requested by basketball programs or the Academy

  • Monitor player grades and class schedules; assist with tutoring 

  • Monitor and assist with strength and conditioning

  • Constant communication with Post Grad coaching staff

  • Must be available on gamedays, evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Position IS NOT PAID. Housing and Meals will be provided on a 10-month contract (August – March)
